Aurora BayCare Medical Center Leadership

Daniel Meyer is President of Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167 bed acute care tertiary hospital in Green Bay. He joined Aurora in 2005 as President of Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and was promoted to President of Aurora BayCare Medical Center in 2007. Prior to joining Aurora, Dan served as VP of Operations for 15 years at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC. He was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa and currently resides in Green Bay.

Dr. Brian Johnson is Chief Medical Officer at Aurora BayCare Medical Center. Over the last 16 years, he has served on multiple committees and has held several leadership positions with Aurora BayCare and Aurora Health Care. Dr Johnson is the lead administrative physician and is responsible for clinical programs in conjunction with the executive team.

Gwendolyn Christensen, MBA, is Vice President of Finance for the ABMC. Christensen received her undergraduate and MBA from Lakeland College and has worked in healthcare finance for 15 years. Prior to her current position, she was Vice President of Finance for Manitowoc. Christensen is a graduate of Oconto Falls High School.

Heather Schroeder, MHA, BSN, RN, is Vice President of Nursing and Chief Nurse Officer with 15 years of experience. Schroeder oversees Inpatient, Emergency, and several Ambulatory Nursing areas. Prior to her current position she served as the Director of Inpatient and Emergency Services of Aurora BayCare Medical Center.

Beth Kirby
 is the Human Resources Director at Aurora BayCare Medical Center. Kirby joined Aurora BayCare in 2001 and has more than 20 years of HR experience. A Brillion native, she is a University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh graduate.

Carl BlomWillis is the Director of Patient Experience.  Prior to his current position, BlomWillis worked in Human Resources and Volunteer Services since starting in 2003 with Aurora Health Care at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Julie Pomasl RN MSN, CPHQ is Quality Director and has been working in healthcare for 30 years. Pomasl received her undergraduate from Marian College and her MSN from Bellin College. Pomasl oversees Quality, Infection Prevention, Medical Staff Services, Case Management, Transitions of Care and Clinical Documentation Improvement.
