In addition to providing patients with high-quality care, Aurora BayCare maintains an extensive research program
More than 500 research projects are underway throughout Aurora Health Care, allowing Aurora BayCare patients access to treatment, prevention, screening, diagnostic and quality of life types of research.
Aurora BayCare conducts patient-centered research in two areas: Investigator-Initiated Research and Clinical Trials. Investigator-initiated research includes projects and programs that Aurora BayCare physicians develop within their special interest areas. Clinical trials are typically industry-sponsored projects.
Both research areas are part of Aurora Research Institute, which includes:
- Biorepository and Specimen Resource Center
- Discovery Laboratory
- Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani Center for Integrative Research on Cardiovascular Aging
- TORQUE, translational breast cancer research program
- Early Phase Cancer Research Program
- Aurora Neurosciences Innovation Institute
- Center for Urban Population Health
- Aurora University of Wisconsin Medical Group
Aurora Research Institute partners with pharmaceutical companies, device manufacturers, academic research partners and government agencies to perform translational research that spans from the laboratory bench to the patient's bedside.
Aurora Research Institute offers assistance with research studies. We help our physician scientists build relationships with research partners and provide assistance throughout the entire process, from study design to analysis and review.
Furthering the Body of Knowledge
In the course of our research, our investigative findings have improved patient health and the delivery of medical care in the greater Green Bay area and the overall medical community. Our work continues to provide innovation in national and international health care.
