At Aurora BayCare Medical Center, we are always looking for ways to improve the way we deliver care. We are currently remodeling to bring together related health care services and previously separated departments into more centralized care areas. We look forward to providing you with a more convenient and efficient health care experience. To ensure patient comfort during construction, our projects will be completed in several phases:

Phase 1, completed in 2015/early 2016:

  • Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center 

    All rehabilitation services are now available under one roof. This includes sports medicine, outpatient physical therapy, speech therapy, work specialty and occupational therapy. Two therapy pools, a TRX room, and massage therapy services in a calming ambiance were also added to the space. The facility will continue to provide orthopedic services, athletic training, sports and golf training, performance testing, personal training and wellness services.
  • New Children’s Health Clinic

A unique, Children’s Health clinic featuring a state-of-the-art self-rooming system was added to the second floor of the Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center. The clinic provides a wide range of pediatric services including children's cardiologydigestive health, urologyorthopedicsgeneral surgeryplastic surgeryneurosurgerytherapynephrology and pulmonology. This area is specially designed just for children, making their visits to the doctor fun and memorable in ocean-, safari- and jungle-themed spaces. 

Phase 2, to be completed in 2016:

  • Hospital Surgical Services Enhancements

    Renovation and enhancements of our current surgical space, as well as additional space    dedicated to surgical services, will significantly increase the number of prep and discharge rooms.  Renovation also includes one new integrated operating room and conversion of a current surgical  suite into an integrated OR. A dedicated surgical services waiting room is also being added to the  second floor along with refurbishing and upgrading the third floor prep and recovery areas.

Phase 3, to be completed in 2017:

  • Urgent + Emergency Care

An Urgent + Emergency Care expansion will include four new urgent care treatment spaces and a dual-nurse triage area. As the only combined Urgent + Emergency Care center in the Green Bay area, the changes have been planned to handle increased patient demand and reduce wait times for urgent care patients. The new Emergency Department will also include a safe room for patients with mental health concerns.

  • Digestive Health (Gastrointestinal Specialty Services)

Our Digestive Health department will be brought together in one centralized location on the south side of the hospital. The current space is expanding to increase the number of prep and discharge rooms as well as procedure rooms. Clinic and physician offices are being relocated to the second floor. Two additional floors will be added for future expansion.

  • Hyperbaric Wound Care and the Pain Clinic

Hyperbaric wound care and the pain clinic will be relocated to the second floor, adjacent to the new Digestive Health clinic space on the south side of the hospital. 

  • Cancer Care Services

Expanding over 11,000 square feet on Aurora BayCare Medical Center’s north side, Cancer Care Services will be brought to one central location. The first floor has 34 treatment bays, space for multidisciplinarycancer clinic physicians to collaborate, space for medical oncology, radiation oncology and other surgical oncology. The second floor  includes clinical office space.

  • Breast Health Services

Aurora BayCare Breast Health services will be conveniently located in one central area across from the Greenbrier Café. This area will include mammography, breast ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy, and bone density testing. It will also have its own entrance near the cafeteria.

Phase 4, to be completed in 2018:

  • East Ambulatory Surgery Center

Renovations of existing ambulatory surgery space will expand the number of prep and discharge rooms and remodel the entrance, waiting and consultation areas. One existing operating room will be refurbished for daily use.
