Here’s what sets us apart:
Urgent + Emergency
Aurora BayCare is Green Bay’s only hospital offering both urgent care and emergency care all under one roof. With both a fully staffed urgent care and emergency room under one roof, you're guaranteed to get the level of care you need, when you need it.

The Waiting-Less Room
Aurora BayCare’s wait times are 2x faster than the national average – so you get better, faster. Patients see an emergency physician in an average of 15 minutes after arrival, far lower than the national average of 30 minutes. (Patients visiting our Urgent Care Plus location on W. Mason St. can view current wait times and make reservations online.)
Leaders in Door-to-Balloon Time
When you’re having a heart attack, minutes matter. Aurora BayCare’s STEMI program leads the region in door-to-balloon time; our fastest being 13 minutes from the time a patient enters our ER to when we’ve opened their blocked arteries.
Comprehensive Stroke Center
Aurora BayCare is one of four Comprehensive Stroke Centers in Wisconsin. We accept emergency patient transfers from the area's surrounding Primary Stroke Centers. Neurosurgeons are ready, 24/7 to perform highly-specialized interventions that can reduce or even reverse the effects of a stroke.
Aurora BayCare is a certified Geriatric Emergency Department. We provide extra attention to senior-specific issues such as fall risk, delirium or cognitive problems, and medication interactions—all common complications when treating elderly adults. We also offer assistive devices, large print forms, and other aids to enhance the safety and comfort of our elderly patients.
Superior On Call Surgical Care
Aurora BayCare exceeds industry benchmarks for on-call surgical coverage. We have neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, eye surgeons, and hand surgeons on call, 24/7. Without adequate on-call surgical coverage, emergency patients may experience permanent injuries that could have otherwise been avoided.
