Patient rights and responsibilities
Upon admission you were given a copy of Aurora BayCare Medical Center's Patient Rights and Responsibilities booklet. This booklet contains information and guidelines to support the physical, emotional and spiritual needs for our patients. If you would like an additional copy, please contact your nurse.
All of our inpatient rooms have individual climate controls for your comfort. Please ask your nurse for assistance.
Aurora BayCare is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is prohibited in the building and on the grounds. Smoking is only allowed in personally owned vehicles.
Patient smoking will be permitted only in rare instances when accompanied by a written physician order. Patients that have a written physician order are allowed to smoke on an outside patio near the physician entrance. Ask your caregiver for specific directions.
The inpatient units at Aurora BayCare have sound machines available for patient use. These machines create soothing, natural sounds to help mask unwanted noise that may interfere with sleep, rest and healing. If interested, please ask your nurse.
