A cancer diagnosis can be one of the most stressful times in a person's life. My goal is to always ensure every patient understands their diagnosis and treatment options with full knowledge of our goals and risks to alleviate anxiety and stress and allow them to make a true, informed decision. I strive to provide the most up to date options and technology to maximize outcomes and safety.
I am a board-certified radiation oncologist who treats all cancer disease sites. I specialize in prostate cancer, breast cancer and brachytherapy treatments.
I'm a Wisconsin native who served as a Naval Undersea Diving Medical Officer, as well as Radiation Oncology Medical Officer and Co-Division Officer at the naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. I served during Operation Desert Storm and was promoted to Commander prior to returning to Wisconsin.
I was the first radiation oncologist in Wisconsin to be certified in SpaceOAR implants for prostate cancer treatment. I also lead an active prostate seed implant program, where one procedure can provide curable treatment for prostate cancer. I provide stereotactic radiosurgery treatment for brain cancer as well as throughout the body (SRS and SBRT). I also have an extensive history in HDR brachytherapy for gynecological cancers. In addition, I'm proficient in intra-operative radiation therapy (IORT) for breast cancer, and IMRT technique for external beam treatments.
In my free time, I enjoy travel, reading and exercise.
