New Breast Imaging Opens at Aurora BayCare Medical Center
On Monday, April 23, Aurora BayCare hosted an open house to give the local community a look at our new breast imaging area. The space was specially designed to keep women comfortable and relaxed throughout the breast health screening process. It features Wisconsin’s first and only audiovisual 3-D mammography as well as ultrasound, bone density screening, stereotactic breast biopsies and breast MRI – all under one roof.
The open house event featured tours of the space led by our breast surgeons, diagnostic radiologist and plastic surgeons, information about breast health screening recommendations and the option for women to schedule their breast screening appointments.
“Our new women’s imaging space promotes an environment that is relaxing and calming, which not only allows for a better patient experience while in the space, but also leads to better mammogram images,” said Dr. Lynn Mastey, diagnostic radiologist at Aurora BayCare.
