Comprehensive care for mature women
Women can expect to live longer than ever before. A long life is a wonderful
gift, but it also requires women to take better care of themselves. It means
searching for a better, more holistic way to take care of your body. At the
Women’s Center, we’re committed to seeking out new, innovative treatment options
and approaches to wellness that can help keep you happy and healthy ... for a
lifetime.
Gynecology
At Aurora BayCare Medical Center, our gynecologists place special emphasis on
prevention and early detection of illness and disease to ensure proper
gynecological health. We treat women of all ages from teens to women in their
mid-life years. Services include:
- Gynecological exams
- Thin prep PAP smears (offering greater accuracy and minimizing the
possibility of unnecessary procedures)
- New and minimally invasive surgeries
- Urogynecology services for incontinence and pelvic floor issues offered
by the area’s only fellowship-trained urogynecologist
Conditions treated include:
- Endometriosis
- Gynecological cancers (treated in close partnership with other
specialists such as medical and radiation oncologists and interventional
radiologists)
- Fibroid tumors --

Midlife services
Women in their midlife years (40’s and beyond) are challenging health care
providers to expand and redefine how they care for women as they mature. The
Midlife Health Program at Aurora BayCare Medical Center offers a new way to
deliver care to women at this stage of life. Health risk assessments evaluating
your heart, breast, urological, nutritional and emotional needs are all
available. The Midlife Health Program also includes an annual exam, PAP smear,
mammogram, and bone mineral density testing (when necessary) to check for
osteoporosis. All visits are coordinated for your convenience.
The Women’s Center also offers a variety of wellness and prevention programs
and women’s health specialists to answer your questions on hormone replacement
therapy and other health issues.
