Medical Fitness Program

Focusing on Your Total Health and Wellness

Aurora BayCare Medical Center’s Medical Fitness Program is a collaborative effort between the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation departments. From wellness and fitness to disease prevention and management, our specialists will help you identify goals and establish an exercise program resulting in a healthier lifestyle.

Classes

Therapeutic Core/Yoga - Learn to activate the proper core muscles for injury prevention and lower-back support. Emphasis will be on proper sequencing and engagement for the core in supported positions, with progressions to less-supported positions in micro-steps. Flexibility of the hips and spine will also be integrated to provide a well-balanced program to enhance back/spine health.

Therapeutic Water Works - This warm-water class is just right for those who want to get back to normal activity and/or remain active but have aches and pains. Movement will focus on thorough warm-up of all joints and muscles, working through full range of motion and gentle strength work. Those with arthritis, mild-to-moderate joint or muscle pain, or in need of lower-impact exercise will benefit from this class.

Therapeutic Open Pool - Receive all the benefits of Therapeutic Water Works with the flexibility of coming in anytime during the open swim blocked time. An instructor will be on hand to work with each individual, provide ideas and answer questions.

Mobile and Fit - This class is designed to target movement deficits caused by Parkinson’s disease to reduce falls, and improve function, mobility, mood and quality of life.

Therapeutic Class Fee

$5 per class with volume discounts available through punch card purchase.

Members Program

As a member of our facility, you will have access to our specialized fitness equipment and group fitness classes to continue your exercise program and guide you to overall health and wellness.

Program Fee

$35 per month*
All medical fitness classes are free to Aurora BayCare Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center members.
