ACL Bridge

"The ACL Bridge program is an excellent tool to help individuals recovering from ACL surgery regain their physical abilities and confidence necessary to return to athletic competition."

Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine

The ACL Bridge program helps people of all ages and abilities regain confidence after ACL reconstruction by bridging the gap between physical therapy discharge and functional, athletic or recreational independence. The program focuses on developing the neuromuscular coordination in the lower extremities to maximize stability, and strength through research based protocols and equipment. The program continues to evolve with the latest research in ACL rehabilitation.

3PQ Technology

As a part of the ACL Bridge program, Aurora BayCare utilizes the technology of the 3PQ to get athletes back on the field. One of the biggest concerns for ACL injuries is, "When can I return to my sport?" The 3PQ offers immediate feedback, which enables the trainer to adjust an athlete's mechanics and address limitations.

The 3PQ allows an athlete to produce forces similar to their pre-injury ability, and help compare the injured leg to the non-injured leg to track progress. This gives the trainer and athlete a better idea of when that athlete can safely return to the playing field.
