Restless Leg Syndrome

Restless leg syndrome (RLS) is a collection of symptoms, which include an uncontrollable urge to the legs or leg pain, often described as "creepy crawly" sensations.

The symptoms of RLS are often:

  • Worse at night
  • Better with movement, becoming worse when trying to keep still

Restless leg syndrome can cause difficulty getting to sleep or getting continuous sleep. Daytime sleepiness may result and it can interfere with the sleep of a bed partner.
