Your Bariatric Surgery Center team

Bariatric Surgeon James Kemmerling, M.D., F.A.C.S., serves as the medical director of the Bariatric Surgery Center at Aurora BayCare. Dr. Kemmerling is board certified in general surgery, and is a Fellow of the Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is also member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.

Dr. Kemmerling has performed bariatric surgery in northeast Wisconsin since 2001, and has excellent results in over 500 cases. He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed his general surgery residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Kemmmerling works closely with a multidisciplinary team offering personalized care for each patient, including nutrition, psychological services, medical consultations, sleep medicine and exercise therapy. He and his team will work closely with your primary caregiver to ensure seamless care.
