Aurora Health Center in Shawano is ExpandingAugust 8, 2012 Shawano, Wis. – Aurora Health Care's primary care clinic at 1346 East Green Bay Street is expanding. The clinic expansion includes larger facilities and new service offerings. "We've listened to the community," said Mary Beth McDonald, senior vice president of clinic operations for Aurora Health Care. "Ever since Dr. Hiltgen began seeing patients in Shawano, our patients have asked for even more health care options in the community. We've added providers and services to this clinic and now we've outgrown the space." Family Medicine Physician Gregrey Hiltgen, MD, began seeing patients for Aurora Health Care at 503 South Main Street in 2005. In 2010, Aurora reinvested in the community by building and opening a new clinic at its current location. Since the newest clinic has opened, Family Medicine Physician Richard Sarnwick, DO, and Nurse Practitioner Patricia Darling-Miller also began seeing patients at the clinic. Aurora Health Care and BayCare Clinic started offering specialty care services including cancer, cardiology, gynecology and obstetrics, neurosurgery, orthopedics and physical medicine and rehabilitation at Aurora Health Center in Shawano. These services allow the community of Shawano to receive specialty care such as prenatal care, pain management and other follow-up clinic visits locally. Construction is expected to begin later this fall and be completed in the first half of 2013. Officials will expand specialty services at the clinic after construction is complete. The clinic will remain operational through the construction. The public will be invited to an open house after construction is complete.
