Aurora BayCare Honors Caregivers in Research and Medical EducationNovember 8, 2012 Green Bay, Wis – Aurora BayCare Medical Center hosted a research and medical education reception and recognition event on November 1. Seven caregivers were honored for their current participation in advancing research and medical education. "This event is a celebration of our accomplishments and commitment to advancing the medical research and education in Green Bay," said Annette Paul, supervisor of clinical research at Aurora BayCare Medical Center. "It's also a great learning opportunity for caregivers not currently involved in these programs to learn more about opportunities that currently exist." Numerous cancer clinical trials have been ongoing at Aurora BayCare for various types of cancers, but research has expanded far beyond cancer trials. For example, Aurora BayCare has research options for patients with sleep apnea disease, acute coronary syndrome (heart) disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, SI-Bone/pelvic joint, knee injuries and more. Patients have access to more than three dozen open clinical trials at Aurora BayCare and more than 400 open trials throughout Aurora Health Care. Awardees include:
