Aurora BayCare Medical Center named among the nation's best

Two Aurora Hospitals are Only Wisconsin Hospitals on the List

Green Bay, Wis. – Aurora BayCare Medical Center and Aurora West Allis Medical Center have been named as two of the sixteen best community hospitals in the nation, according to Becker's Hospital Review. They were also the only hospitals in Wisconsin to make the list.

This award was based on a compilation of scores and accolades that are publicly available. A primary guideline for this award was what the facility provided to the patients, such as safety, outcomes and satisfaction. Hospital rankings from industry lists published by Thomson Reuters, U.S. News & World Report and HealthGrades also played a pivotal role in designating the top community hospitals.

"This award is a testament to the hard work of our caregivers who have dedicated themselves to making this a great facility," says Daniel Meyer, chief administrator of Aurora BayCare Medical Center.

Rick Kellar, chief administrative officer for Aurora West Allis Medical Center says, "Our team strives to set a higher standard for health care and this recognition further validates our belief that we provide the best health care possible for the communities and patients we serve."

To be considered for this award a hospital had to be defined as a community hospital by Becker's Hospital Review. Criteria for this designation include having limited or no teaching programs and 325 or fewer beds, in the nation.
