herbIf Herb Mueller were a car, he might be called a fixer-upper. He underwent surgery for an abdominal aortic aneurysm at a different Wisconsin hospital and, while recovering, learned the problem wasn't solved. He had six more areas in his heart that were blocked due to plaque build up. Luckily for Herb, he began treatment at Aurora BayCare Medical Center where their comprehensive team of advanced cardiac specialists and caregivers quickly diagnosed and took care of the problem. After successful bypass surgery and diagnosis of an irregular heartbeat and heart failure, Herb went home with a new defibrillator, medication, and a diet and exercise program that have helped him get back to his life. Herb is feeling better than he has in years, and is happy to be back under the hood enjoying his favorite pastime - tinkering with automobile engines.
